Here we go again !
Posted by admin on May 13, 2009
Oh, arent we used to this. Here we go again, Ancelloti, Steve Clark, Gianfranco Zola, Slaven Bilic, the same names, the same job, the same conditions. And pretty much the same stories. You begin to wonder, if the media has these stored somewhere, waiting to reprint them when the time comes, i wouldnt blame them if they do, they do need them after every season, as we have built a tradition of changing managers as regularly as our jersey.
So, We’ve been linked to alot of managers, once again, not really a surprise as the man we want, Guus Hiddink, has promised to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, as originally planned. But even he has admitted leaving Chelsea would be a hard thing to do, lets just not get our hopes up. So, the shortlist comes down to this basically,

Gianfranco Zola , with side-kick Steve Clark : I’m sure you’ve heard their names before, Chelsea legend Zola, and long-time assistant manager, Steve Clark, are reported to have escape clauses in their new four-year contracts at Upton Park, signed last month. They both are seen as future replacements as Chelsea manager, and assitant manager, but is the time right ? Zola has said he has no problems with the lack of funds available at West Ham, and after a BBC interviewer suggested he had met with Roman Abrahamovic, well you can read that story here .

Slaven Bilic : According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Premier League outfit Chelsea have identified Croatia head coach Slaven Bilic as the man to take over from Guus Hiddink at the end of the season. It is claimed that Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has already made contact with Bilic about the possibility of taking over in the summer.

Carlo Ancelotti : According to reports, Chelsea representatives have met with Carlo Ancelloti (boy, they must really have alot of Air mileage now), and discussed a possible move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, Although Ancelloti has been openly rejecting any approach, or interest regarding Chelsea, it is reported that he has had a bust up with the AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi , which could change his mind .

Guus Hiddink : Well, i can dream, cant i? When you look at it, its not that impossible, He’s been a instant success, and a hit among the fans, and we might just have found our next Jose Mourinho in him, but, he wants to finish what he started and take Russia to the World Cup, although reports have stated that he will go back as planned, he has shown some doubt, as to what his real intentions are, as he continous to say that leaving a club like Chelsea, would be a difficult job, and with the fans and players, both respecting him, he would be my pick for the job.
Chelsea annihilate Arsenal
Posted by admin on May 12, 2009

Chelsea secured a top three Premier League finish and entry into next season’s Champions League group stages with a comprehensive win at Arsenal. Alex powerfully headed Chelsea in front and Nicolas Anelka thundered in a 25-yard strike to dobule Chelsea’s lead. Arsenal’s Kolo Toure put Ashley Cole’s cross into his own net before a Nicklas Bendtner header pulled it back to 3-1. The Gunners rallied but Chelsea wrapped up the win when Florent Malouda slotted in after Anelka’s shot hit the post.
Chelsea, who attempted to fight away the memories of last week, came through after a brilliant performance against Arsenal, Winning 4-1 at the Emirates in a London derby. We outplayed them after a shaky start, and managed to make the most out of our chances, Arsenal were able to pull a goal back but that wasnt enough to keep Hiddink’s men down and Malouda finished it off with a goal.
Thankfully, we have now secured third position, and have a faint chance of going second if Liverpool loses one of their remaining matches, We’ve also qualified for automatic qualification to the group stage, while Arsenal will be left to wait for the open draw next season which could pair them with anyone from Spain, Germany or italy.
A good way to enter the last couple of matches of the season, hopefully we can push harder and try and keep some pressure on Liverpool for the second spot, though it wont make much of a difference.

Hiddink : It’ll be tough to leave Chelsea
Posted by admin on May 9, 2009

Is it? is it a sign? Lets hope it is. Chelsea’s ‘interim’ manager Guus Hiddink has reportedly admitted it would be very tough for him to leave Chelsea, he’s apparently fallen in love with the club, just like the fans with him. He said "It’ll be tough to leave it all, that’s true. I love to work with this club. I’m not defending where they crossed the line but the way the boys reacted against Barcelona (in the UEFA Champions League) shows that there is such a very strong desire and personality in this team."
"They like to fight for their chances. I’ve worked with them with a lot of joy." He continued: "I’ve enjoyed working with this team. The players here aren’t just enjoying a good life, putting their feet up in luxury. They want to perform at a big club. That makes it very enjoyable and difficult to leave. I feel as if I’ve been intrinsically involved with this club. I could have come here and just gone through the motions, done a daily routine, for three months. But that’s not the way I like to work."
But, Sadly, to avoid any mis-conception infront of the over-enthusiastic media of England, he ended the interview on a parting note, " Okay, sure, you don’t feel as if you’re a part of things on day one but I had that after a week here. In the end, though, we part. That’s just how it is. Let’s not be too dramatic. That’s life. "
But, why give this interview at all ? We cant jump to conclusion, especially when you look at the last line, and Hiddink doesnt look like someone to go against his word, lets just hope Roman can pull something off.
Surprisingly correct UEFA dummy report adds spark to “Conspiracy theory”
Posted by admin on May 8, 2009

New evidence supporting the so called "Conspiracy Theory" has sparked anger and flare among the already emotionally wounded Chelsea supporters, it seems that UEFA, who was testing out its match results page, wanted to do things right, and made some surprisingly accurate guesses. True, it could be nothing more then mere co-incedence, but lets have a look at what they got right.
They predicted Chelsea will get a red card, something that didnt happen, thank God, they predicted Chelsea grabbing a early goal , although they predicted Terry scoring it, they also predicted Barcelona getting a late goal, According to British newspaper "The Sun", they even predicted Chelsea getting four yellow cards , the way we did. They predicted Barcelona would go to the final on away goals , Ofcourse, this could all be a co-incedence.
Something tells me UEFA wont be doing too many test with their site in the coming days.
Drogba apology wont stop UEFA backlash at Chelsea
Posted by admin on May 8, 2009

Didier Drogba made it pretty clear how he felt about UEFA and the referee after the dissapointing draw with Barcelona on Wednesday, unfortunately, now its UEFA’s turn. Although Didier Drogba made a formal apology after the game, it was too little, too late for the Chelsea striker. UEFA have released a statement saying they will consider the referee’s match report (oh boy!) and make a decision.
Things dont look so good for Didier Drogba, who has been caught making trouble alot recently, he was sent off in the final at Moscow last year, got caught up in a coin throwing incident earlier this year, and now this. Although, in my personal opinion, had i been in his shoes, i would have done the same, if not more. But the thing that has to be considered is the variety of audiences watching the game on Wednesday. Drogba’s comments were caught on live telivision (see video here) at Sky Sports.
A statement on Uefa’s official website read: "With regard to the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg between Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona in London on Wednesday, UEFA has received both the referee’s and delegate’s report. "UEFA is currently examining those reports, as well as gathering additional evidence. "It will decide which action to take in the course of next week. No protest has been received with respect to the red card shown to FC Barcelona player Eric Abidal."
Drogba, was a bit late, but nevertheless, he made a apology, "In the heat of the moment I let out my huge frustration and disappointment. For that, I apologise," he said. "I also fully accept that the language I used did not set a good example for those watching at home, especially children."
But, UEFA is bound to come back strong and strict against Chelsea, for all the conspiracy theories, true or not, we have made against them, Mr Platini simply needs a excuse to punish the ‘rebels’ at Chelsea, as a step in his open protest against Rich Premier league teams.
Players Post match Reaction – Video

Well, im sure most of you, like me, turned off / smashed your TV after yesterday’s tragedy, but i managed to find a uncensored video of what Drogba says to the referee, to UEFA on Live television.

I think he got it spot on, UEFA’s decision to appoint a referee like that for such a huge event, was absolutely stupid. Good to see that a player actually had the guts to come forward, and say his heart out to UEFA on live TV. My respect for Drogba, has immensly increased.
