UPDATE: Beckham to debut vs. Chelsea?
Posted by admin on May 20, 2010
A follow up on yesterday’s rumours stemming from the ESPN “Beckham Watch” ticker that the Galaxy will play Chelsea on July 21st. Word on the street is that this match may be part of a four team tournament involving LA, Chelsea, a Mexican club (believed to be Tigres) and another team. If I had to speculate (and this is just speculation) I would guess Celtic would be a strong possibility as they will be in the States for the All Star game; Glasgow to Denver is a loooooooooooong flight for one match. The Whole “Grow Our Brand” Thing Is Getting Out of Hand

First it was the Ajax America experiment down in Florida. Then Chivas came to the USA and Chelsea went public with their “special relationship” with LA Galaxy. Shortly thereafter perennial also-rans Charlton FC announced that they would be opening an academy in Arizona and were followed to America by their brothers in futility Crystal Palace, who set up shop in Baltimore. Real Madrid hitched their wagon to RSL after RSL hijacked their name. And most recently Arsenal have gotten in bed with Colorado Rapids.
UPDATE: Chelsea v. Galaxy picks up steam

From The Korea Times comes confirmation of a rumour we picked up on a few weeks ago . As previously mentioned it does appear that LA Galaxy will take on Chelsea in July as part of a 4 team tournament which will include Mexico’s Tigres and Korea’s Suwon Bluewings. It was speculated that a Japanese club would be the forth team, but the Bluewings will surely be just as appreciated in LA’s rich Asian community (K-town, represent!).

A few weeks back I mentioned that it looked like Brazil & Argentina were setting up to face off stateside in late March. Apparently that timetable was a little too tight, with sources now indicating that this will be put off until next year, but likely to involve multiple matches.

Shalrie Joseph is for The Children
Posted by admin on Apr 22, 2010
You know what? Shalrie is kinda good with kids. He should maybe start a day care. There could be nap time, story time, back-third thoughball time, advanced dread care & maintenance time etc. Real groundbreaking stuff that could change the face of pre-middle school child care forever. So long as the uniform does not have Chelsea or Man U. logos plastered all over it.
